The goal of the game is to line up four pieces of the same color in a row—vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. To start the game, players take turns placing magnets on one of the empty squares in the bottom row. Each player can then place a magnet on any square in the bottom row, or on any square in the row above it, provided there's a magnet below it (in the same column).
